What is Polyamide 12

Polyamide-12 or Nylon-12 is used in fiber optic cables primarily as an anti-termite protection cover. It is an excellent cover for the fiber optic cables when the installation area is prone to attack from termites. Nylon-12 also possesses good chemical resistance characteristics.
Nylon is a generic designation for a family of synthetic polymers known generically as polyamides, first produced on February 28, 1935, by Wallace Carothers at DuPont's research facility at the DuPont Experimental Station. Nylon is one of the most commonly used polymers. Over the years, FPL has established 400 grades in 10 engineering polymers mostly specialising in niche compounds. FPL has approvals from various OEMs serving large sectors of industries with product reach internationally.
In Polyamide 12 Nanocomposites, the polyamide 12 resin forms the continuous matrix containing the nanoparticles. (RDC 5/7/2009). In addition to above FPL have many other formulations for many end-use applications. FPL also has many Application Specific grades and alloys / blends for many Specific requirements. May be some of them may suit your requirements also. Call on us to know more about us and about our FORMPOLY? product range.
